Aero Pack Spoiler on Convertible

I know there are already a bunch of posts regarding the bigger decklid spoiler, and I think it works aesthetically on a coupe, but I don't think I've come across a good pic of one on a convertible. I remember CeeJay posted some pics of his struggles with the Mina Gallery version, but those were mainly close-ups to show the poor fit. Anyone able to post up some full-car pics of a convertible with the tall spoiler? There's a good deal for one on ebay that's already in my color, and I'm trying to decide if it's worth doing or if I'm just feeding an unnecessary itch to change up my car a little bit.

Still mine, and not painted body color yet, and from last year. BUT, this is an OEM spoiler as I returned the Mina one for a refund....

Thanks for finding one for me! I’m gonna scoop that up quick.... just kidding

although I have one question, it lists it as fitment for 11-15 years...is something different on the 2010?

I did have to change the connector for the built-in antenna, so that may be the deal. Took a couple snips, a quick solder job and a bit of heat shrink. Probably an extra four minutes. COULD have pulled out original antenna from old spoiler and put in this one, but that seemed like a bigger job.

Also, I do NOT want the stock small spoiler, it looks funny to me now.

Simon, that's a good price. Mine was listed on eBay for $385 US but from the UK so exchange-equivalent. I had to pay $65 for shipping from UK, but the guy discounted the VAT I would have had to pay, and I think that was right about the shipping costs. $385 total shipped, but it was the ONLY one that I could find in a couple month's looking.
Plus, if it IS your color, that'll save $200 painting. Mine is a darker color, but it actually looks kinda cool Bad part; there are a couple scratches that are obvious.

Ha! Don't you do it! The main appeal is it just happens to be the color of my car and everything.

Thanks for the pics, CeeJay. I guess you get used to whatever you've got after a while. I'm still not 100% convinced it does anything to improve the looks, but at this price without having to bother with getting it painted, I guess I can't lose and can always unload it on TP10XKR if I decide I don't like it. :D

Actually, the instant I installed it I could not understand why Jaguar would even build the tiny one. It looks..... lackluster. A stick-on lump only there to hold the required CHMSL.

Alright. Got the guy to knock off a couple bucks, so went ahead and pulled the trigger I've always thought the rear end of the convertibles needed something, so maybe this'll help.

I shouldn't have to mess with the antenna connector, so everything else just bolts on the same as the old, right? Just reuse all the old bolts and clips?

Main thing to me is I think it should go wider as well. Otherwise the rear on the convertible looks kind of puckered up. But I guess none of that may matter much to you soon if you get the winning bid on that Aston Martin ;)

Yep, pretty much plug-and-play although a couple connectors/clips are a bit of a pain to reach inside the boot lid. I had to take the antenna box-thing off to get my big mitts inside. Make sure you install it while it's warm so it'll give just a bit and fit tight. You WILL need those stupid "Security" Torx bits for some bolts, so be aware.

Thats some funny, I see you “scooped” it up congrats !
now my search for a pearl white one begins??? Anyone out there have one

Dang it! I didn't notice until after I already clicked "buy", but it looks like there's some warping around the top left edge of the brake light. Does this look like something fixable? If so, how? Heat?

Yeah, that area is a bit flimsy. Maybe tape/clamp the whole 'hole' closer together for a few days in warm, or blow it with a hair dryer every so often. The CHMSL may also be over tightened into the spoiler a bit in the picture.
I can't recall much, but there may be a couple ledges around that area that slip into recesses on the CHMSL, but I'm not sure. My brain is getting too old.

Thanks! I'm hoping to be able to fix whatever the issue is that's causing the bulging/warping and should get the spoiler soon. Do you have a side shot like this by any chance, would you?

I just took my car out for the first time this year, and I guess I picked a crappy place to park to get a spoiler picture...
