Alarm backup battery replacement
If you are unfortunately enough to have your windows smashed or the car jacket up nobody will know any better will they
That's why I have insurance..
It's just a low valued car,,,,,
The sounder is 50 quid used or something, and thiefs are deterred with noise and drama but if you want to rely upon insurance fine, just don't tell them you removed the alarm itself and mine isn't low valued I don't know what you are driving but seems bizarre to have such a couldn't give an **** opinion

Yes it's possible it's a UK thing. My previous Subaru had an alarm but it was a retrofit by Subaru UK, in other words the Subaru was made in Japan to UK spec and the bods in England bodged in an alarm to meet the Thatcham requirements, it's probably exactly the same with the Jag
I miss the old days when thieves were deterred by car alarms... I think those days ended around the time when folks started fitting after-market alarms that played full symphonies when even a stiff breeze blew too hard against their parked car.
That’s the sensitivity of the intrusion sensors - nothing to do with aftermarket - the Subaru I had you could change the sensitivity with a keypad, I should think there is some way to alter it on the Jag too. never realised Jags were so worthless – we may as well just leave the keys inside it and the doors open
