Wow, some great cars. What's the story with AC Zagato? Never seen that before. Very Zagato looking...

Nice pics! I didn't take any this year. Forgot the camera, got lazy with the phone, etc. haha. I wish I would have bumped into you. I didn't see your car though. Your XKR would have fit perfectly in that lineup.
My wife drove the XK and I drove the MG. When we were leaving, the Zagato was in front of me for a decent bit. With the top down in the MG, the Zagato exhaust was right in my face. Sounded NASTY! (the good kind of nasty ;) ) |

Also, only 3 Astons showed up this year. According to a friend who has a DB9, he said the Aston club had something out of town this weekend so the showing was light. Last year there were about 15-20 AMs. |
Looks like it was a great show, beautiful cars, beautiful location, spectacular skies. It seems like a combination of the two shows we have out here, The Queen's English CAR Show and the Best of France and Italy Car Show, both of which are great. Had my XKR at one and my Pantera at the other (by the way, nice pics of the two Panteras speaking of loud, nasty exhausts.)

And I lied. I did take one pic on the drive. https://i.postimg.cc/bJP63NvH/20190505-085826.jpg |
I wish I had known about the show, I would surely have come up for it. Was the show at White Rock or Bachman?

I should read the regional section more often.

If I'd learned about the show earlier, I would've definitely signed up to park inside with the group. The Jags got much better placement than last year and I'd love to have gotten a pic of my car with all the other XKs. |
I didn't have time to spend all day so I breezed through in about an hour and a half. But speaking of cars you never see (at least not in the U.S.), did anyone happen to spot this Russian GAZ 21 Volga? It wasn't in the show, rather was parked outside the show field in the spectator parking.

Also, I found out last night that my car placed third out of 22 Jags (everyone who registers a car gets a score card where you write in your favorite for each class). Very surprised to say the least! Jaguar 1. Hal W.: 1973 XJS 2. Clark K.: 1966 XKE 3. Scott L.: 2010 XK |

Look at the front overhang on that thing. You could never get out of a driveway where I live without breaking that front lip of the splitter every time. It needs to be a foot shorter from the front of the wheel forward. Looks ponderous to me.

Really Hung Over
Back in the day, I had a '67 Cadillac Eldorado like this one with front-wheel drive and huge front and rear overhangs. It was maasive and the parking sensor warnings included feeling a bump followed by the sound of breaking glass.
