Anyone know what, where to get and how much this wood is?

That is from a 2008 Portfolio.

Tervuren is correct. It was offered on Portfolio edition cars. If memory serves correctly it was called "American Walnut".

As for what the Portfolio offered for 2008 from a XKR: Metal side vent trim instead of plastic. (About U.S. $2,000 to replicate.) Alcon Brake package, also serious (>$5K?) Contrast interior stitching. 20" Wheels to fit over the Alcon Brake package.(>$5K?) I am unsure if they adjusted the ride height to be slightly lower, my memory isn't perfect. Celestial Black exterior color. The 2008 Portfolio is my personal favorite if I were to get a drop top X150. |
Was 2008 the only year for that?
Also, the 08 Portfolio XKR I drove did have that spun aluminum. However, it also had felt or some similar type of fabric on that piece between the windshield and door, shown in the photo below. I can't remember if the other one I test drove had that, plastic or leather. I wasn't a fan of the felt. On what cars does that show up? You can't always see in pics the sellers post what material is there. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...199f04b692.jpg |
I have 2013 XKR Portfolio vert. The A post is covered with Poltrana Frau leather as is the header. There are also several other add-ons that are included in the Portfolio pack. That maybe what you saw on the 08 Portfolio.

I have the same car and tried to replace the center console veneer. My build sheet calls it Black Walnut. Jaguar sold me a replacement but the pieces do not match. Part of it may be 10 years of sun but part of it may be that each car's veneer was cut from a single piece and you will never get an adequate match.

Fantastic choice. That is a wonderful wood pattern. Can't have too much wood on a Jag.
