That is from a 2008 Portfolio.

Tervuren is correct. It was offered on Portfolio edition cars. If memory serves correctly it was called "American Walnut".

I test drove an R portfolio yesterday and it had that brushed metal dash. Is portfolio a trim type? Any others?

The 2008 had a choice of two interior trim pieces, the one you saw, which is known as Engine Spun Aluminum, and the one in the picture.

As for what the Portfolio offered for 2008 from a XKR:

Metal side vent trim instead of plastic. (About U.S. $2,000 to replicate.)

Alcon Brake package, also serious (>$5K?)

Contrast interior stitching.

20" Wheels to fit over the Alcon Brake package.(>$5K?)

I am unsure if they adjusted the ride height to be slightly lower, my memory isn't perfect.

Celestial Black exterior color.

The 2008 Portfolio is my personal favorite if I were to get a drop top X150.

Was 2008 the only year for that?

Also, the 08 Portfolio XKR I drove did have that spun aluminum. However, it also had felt or some similar type of fabric on that piece between the windshield and door, shown in the photo below. I can't remember if the other one I test drove had that, plastic or leather. I wasn't a fan of the felt. On what cars does that show up? You can't always see in pics the sellers post what material is there.

I have 2013 XKR Portfolio vert. The A post is covered with Poltrana Frau leather as is the header. There are also several other add-ons that are included in the Portfolio pack. That maybe what you saw on the 08 Portfolio.

What the Portfolio is changes from year to year.

I have the same car and tried to replace the center console veneer. My build sheet calls it Black Walnut. Jaguar sold me a replacement but the pieces do not match. Part of it may be 10 years of sun but part of it may be that each car's veneer was cut from a single piece and you will never get an adequate match.

Fantastic choice. That is a wonderful wood pattern. Can't have too much wood on a Jag.
