So who in here would prefer a color that they don't have already???
I kinda like the British Racing Gangrene - but I don't like the mustard interior color - not sure if that was the only interior option though. I'm happy with the black.
@HealeyJag You're lucky you have the invisible antenna. One of the few things I don't like about my 07. I've had mine 3.5 years. I've seen a total of five x150's. Three were test drives. My neighbor not a car person but she clearly liked the car (and color) and asked many questions.
I like my lunar gray Portfolio...swapped out the wheels for the takobas.
@Marco75 Your 2009 XKR Portfolio Edition Coupe isn't Lunar Gray. It's Shadow Grey, a special metallic exterior color exclusive to the top-of-the-line 2009 XKR Portfolio Models.
Beginning with the 5.0L models, the Portfolio Package was a group of options, and not a model.
many years ago a man from the motor trade (not the one in the Beatles song) suggested that the best way to select the best colour for a car was to look in the brochure (remember those). The colour used predominantly would be the one that looked best in real life. I looked through my 2010 XKR brochure and of course the pictures of the cars have been doctored so they are backlit , or highlighted or shown in black and white or sepia tones. It does appear that a greenish tint, probably BRG or Botanical Green is present in the darker representations and silver is the dominant colour.
The same gentleman advised me not to acquire a black car. He explained that when a car was to be used as a show car, the body would be taken off the line, sprayed black so every minor imperfection could be seen and corrected and then returned to the line for painting the chosen colour.. Things have improved of course, but not the manners of the door dingers in the car park.
My own choice was a dark metallic blue, which is Kyanite Blue on the colour chart, and has been very serviceable. The snorkel is an add on for better breathing in the snow.
