Default British and European Car Show North TX

Made my first British car show with the XK today. Saw some cool cats and met some nice people. Some horrible weather came thru Saturday night but luckily Dallas was spared. Was sunny and windy. Good times. I counted 4 X150s and about 7 or so X100s and lots of other goodies.

There was a bunch of other car makes but here are some pics of the Jags.

My wife and her XK that she let me drive today

TX keep flip flopping on the front plate. I'd go without and take my chances.

If I remove the plate and mount, will any holes be visible in the bumper cover? (I haven't even given it a thought until now so pardon the ignorant question )

Where was that? White Rock Lake? Looks like a good turnout. I caught the tail end of Cars & Coffee last month and saw about a half dozen Jags leave in a group. Have you been? The next one should be this Saturday.

P.S. Saw a white coupe driving on Park the other day and thought "Wow, that looks really good in white." Had to have been your wife. Never seen another one around here.

Same here. I don't have the front plate on any of my cars and have yet to run into any problems.

Yes, there will be two small holes and maybe some paint scuffing. There are plugs that fit over the holes that can be painted and look good. You'll have to just remove it and see what is what. If there are any marks, a buffer may take them out. If it looks bad behind the plate, just give it all a detail and at least you washed and wax behind the front plate!

If you really want it to look perfect, you can always repaint the bumper cover. Would be a good time to install trumpet horns or do another service since the cover will be off.

Yea, south east side of the lake. No, I have never been to he Cars and Coffee. I hear it's real crowded and you have to get on line about 6AM to get a spot. Is that true?

Yea that might have been her. I have an eagle eye for XKs and haven't seen another white one around yet.

Great, I'll give it a look. One thing on my short list is to get a chrome lower grill. I hate the mis-match black/chrome! I'll most likely do both at that time.

They do one a year at White Rock Lake, usually the first Sunday in May, but this year was the last Sunday in April for some reason. The next good show for seeing European cars is usually the first Sunday in June, 6/4 at the Cooper Aerobics Center. After that, Red River Triumph Club is planning a similar show on October 7th at TCC Southeast Campus to raise money for Automotive program scholarships. The Jaguar Club also does events just for Jaguars.
