Caliper covers, red wheel caps etc
So since I bought my XK a month ago, I have done a few additions but more to go. Here is what I have done so far.
Added lower mesh grill (MINA)...black. I actually just used plastic clips to mount it. No need to take off bumper, no need to drill. Took 5 min tops.
Installed show-n-go licence plate holder in the front. I hate the idea of drilling the front. Managed to drive for almost a month without front plate but was pulled over last weekend. Thankfully no ticket. I installed the show-n-go next day.
Added Red Caliper covers from MGP. The first time I took it to my mechanic for installation but the clips were not fitting properly...they were rubbing on the rotors. MGP sent me replacement clips right away and managed to install 10 days ago. Major upgrade without spending big bucks. $170 for the covers, $50 for installation (including $10 tip).
Installed ACM module for IPOD and USB audio integration. $700 parts and labor at Madison Jag in NJ.
Replaced Black center wheel caps with red ones.
Red Jag metal valve caps
Bought 303 cleaner and protectant for the convertible top. Works wonders. I highly recommend for all conv owners. Amazing how water beads and just rolls off the top.
TO DO LIST.
Buy a good ALL SEASON cover. I dont have a garage. Thinking of renting one in the winter... $300
Buy Adamesh or Mina wind deflector...$350
Powdercoat wheels semi-gloss black....$600
