Clic clic clic soung in middle of engine
Hi guys,
iny xkrs i have a clic clic clic sound in the middle of the engine. Stopped by at the dealer and he says its the compressor and needs to be changed and in France dealers will change new disks and pads pretending that they are worn 3400 kilometers after replacement... and charge you 3000€ for it. So i need help

Rip-Off Alert! Even if it WAS your brakes, A set of four new pads AND rotors will cost only 400€ or thereabouts. Labor, about two hours shop time. LESS than 600€ from any REPUTABLE shop.
As per YOUR sound, it is VERY difficult to know what sound you're talking about, could be the water pump, Supercharger torsion isolators, even a Low Oil Level. You state the shop said "compressor", would that be the Supercharger or the A/C compressor?
If you could take and post a video while in a very quiet location, someone here MAY be able to help you with it.

a sure rip off but here in france they are good at it, service at 1680€ ....
i asked them again they say the supercharger yes. I cant take a video cause the car is at the dealer forban accident repair
