I got mine at Autotopsdirect.com in March 2022. It cost $1,159 in Twillfast. Top only, I did not change my headliner. Shipping included. Fantastic fit and quality. I installed it myself. I shopped around, that was the best deal I could find at the time.
Follow-up on mine - it's still as it was. We've had the top up and down a few times. It seems that the plastic lip underneath is cracked as @WhiteXKR mentioned. So far it's not getting worse with wear, but if I ever get up the nerve to take it apart, i might be able to reinforce that lip with a strip of something rigid bonded to it -- that's the thought for now. It's not causing any issues for now, the top is secure and doesn't leak, looks good - just a small annoyance to me as I see it more. It stays 'popped up' about 1/4" after I put the top down and back up, but if I push it, it moves down and closes the gap about halfway. On my list of things to get to eventually, and if it eventually gets worse I'll be looking at another after-market top (as you said that makes sense this is likely its 2nd one).

I just had my top replaced with an EZon top, it has a life time window warranty. The shop I used sourced the top but you can look at topsonline.com. I would recommend the GAHH top with the A5 material.
General question about liners: do these tops come with a built in liner or, are liners a separate purchase/installation?

Ok, I wanted to add what I've found recently in seeking out a top for my '08 XK-R. I felt adding to this existing thread adds more value compared to starting fresh. This thread has a lot of history. I too, have reach point to actively begin looking for a top for my '08 XK-R. It seems, the only choice is which vendor to purchase a "Haartz Twillfast RPC" top, since this seems to be the closest choice for matching our OEM 's fabric weave.
I looked at, AutoTops Direct, OEM+Auto Tops, GAHH, EZON, & Robbins, the only difference seems to be price, if selecting the "Haartz". Current day pricing ranges from $1199 to $1680, GAHH was $2016, however, this was for the German A5 material. IT didn't appear they carried the Haartz, but, I didn't call them. EZON and Robbins were in the same range as OEM+, a few hundred dollars higher/
Now, what I don't know, are the tops from AutoTops Direct with their lower price, the same in the make-up of construction, as the higher priced (same materials) as OEM+? That is, while they are both the same material, do they both contain all of the little necessary ancillary components? Am not thinking in terms of liners, cables, or hoses etc.

I will order the Tops on Line Twillfast RPC next week. Top, headliner & cables will run ~$2500.
I will also try to put together some sort of detail (w/pictures) write up after I get it done.

Speaking of the top - has anyone had this pulling back/warping happen, and do you think it is fixable without a new top? Is it just normal wear from age (2008, 32k miles) ?
I just got the car and it's mossstly pristine, it's been kept in a garage every day of its life I think. I notice the back corner of the top is pulling slightly away from the edge.
I can push it down about 1/4" to where it is normal position, but I don't know way to secure it that way, so it slowly moves back to what you see here, about 1 cm at the top of the curve.
The window seal appears just fine.
As I got the car at a great deal from a family member, I didn't insist on anything, such as a top demonstration as you might do buying it from a stranger. My uncle said he's pretty sure it's been a year since they put it down and back up, so dis-use could perhaps have made it contract a bit. I know it should have a conditioner of some type on it regularly, but I don't think they would have done that.
To be honest, I'm afraid enough that the top might not go up that I was thinking of waiting a month or two for warmer temps in case it gets stuck down. That's probably irrational fear, but it's my only concern right now and I just got it inspected and can get the plates, so I am not wanting to risk a surprise.

im going through the same problem with my top and my top is new. I took it to Adler and Mandel. They replaced it twice. One year later I noticed this. Took it back the manager Steve told me that the manufacturer again to send them another top. And they would replace it for free. So I noticed weeks were going by. I called them back to see the status. He told me they were sewing it. So weeks go back I go online because I happened to forget their number and they are permanently closed! Thst clown lied to me. Now im stuck. I find a few other shops in my area and will be taking it to get estimates. Im so mad because I tske care of my jaguar. It lifing and looks just loke your pic. Its starting to lift some on the driver side now. What was the outcome for you? I dont want it to rain in there.

As for your top, I'm afraid might be up the creek without a paddle, as I'm not sure if your top can be repaired. For now, as a temporary fix, I recommend you use this waterproof Gorilla Tape available at your local Home Improvement store or on Amazon here: https://a.co/d/3ac3MSr
You need to Google "Automobile Convertible Top Installers Near Me" and call them to get your top inspected. If it can't be repaired and you're told that you need a new top, I had mine replaced about a year ago. Here's what I recommend: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...lation-284476/. New to this or any forum. I have a 2008 XKR with just 51,000 Kms. It has been vandalized and the back window broken, requiring a whole new top and liner. Insurance is willing to pay for a replacement but no one seems able to find a top for it. Dealership says there is none in stock in North America and Factory has none.... and....the dealer indicates the Factory has no ETA of when they will have or if they will be manufacturing any. My auto body shop (also owned by dealer) says no third party part suppliers exist for such. As a result I am looking at a total loss situation....which I desperately don't want to get into as I lose $$$.
Also, talked to three independent upholstery shops and they say don't go with a 3rd party top, as you are likely to have a lot of problems with it. They say it is a big risk.
Any auto upholstery shop that says "don't go with a 3rd party top", doesn't know what they're talking about. See the link in my Post #37, above including the photos. My new top is indistinguishable from the OEM factory top (no longer available) except for the logo on the bottom left corner of the glass, and it's a perfect fit.
