Default Correct tires for 2011 XKR

Hi I have an 2011 xkr and need new tires wondering what it came with from the factory. It has no spare tire and would like the run flats but they are 1/4 in smaller in height. Any ideas and would that height difference make a difference?

Tire sizes are on a sticker on the Driver Door Jamb.
This is mine:

Of course, I went with 295s on the rear, zero problems.

One-quarter inch is negligible. Why worry about it at all...

You don't have to use run-flats and you can buy the correct OEM compact spare tire and foam tray with the jack and all the tools. They come up for sale from time to time on Ebay or you can buy them from your Jaguar dealer or a wrecking yard.

Run-flats have very stiff sidewalls and ride somewhat harsher than conventional tires. They're also more expensive than conventional tires with less performance. They marginally improve fuel economy (through the weight savings of no spare, jack, etc), but that is easily offset by a lead foot.

Review tire choices on TireRack.com. There are many good choices depending on your driving conditions, driving style and budget.

My 2009 XKR came from the factory with conventional Dunlop tires and no spare tire because it was equipped with Alcon brakes. I added a spare tire and the accessories. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-brakes-67260/ I did not replace my OEM Dunlops with new Dunlops, as there were better alternatives.

I've never purchased a manufacture recommended 'brand' preferring instead to find the best tyre that I can that exceeds the specs in the size/speed rating available.

Appreciate that throughout the life of the XK (100 or 150) jaguar changed the supplying rubber manufacturer multiple times on new cars (pirelli, bridgestone, continental etc) purely based on cost and nothing more. Don't fall for the 'specially developed by [insert tyre manufacturer] for [insert car manufacturer] strapline...it's just basic marketing.

By far the best tyre I've driven on any car is the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and to my knowledge michy's have never been fitted to XK's?
