Dead battery!
Jump into the ride yesterday and didn't
get far! battery completey dead, not even interior lights came on........ssoo had towed to the dealership under warranty. I'll keep everyone posted as to "what" the dealer has to say!!https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/i...icon_idea1.gif
I had exactly the same scenario with my 2010 XKR. Turned out to be nothing more than a need for a software update that corrected a condition when one of the electrical circuits would not shut off even with the car locked. Since the update my battery is staying up for multi-weeks even without any trickle charge.
A recommendation: It would be always a good idea to keep a battery charger at home. I hate having the car trailered when it is not needed and in this case a charge would have prevented that and got you to the dealer under your own power.

Thanks to all those concerned! "Stella" had a little out patient surgery this morning at the dealership under warranty (not Obama Care) and will be in recovery with a new and fresh battery! thats all is was! thank goodness. However in full disclosure I must admit to everyone (not the dealer!) I would leave my keys in the car in my garage all the time, don't do it according to confidant at the dealership he told me the key needs to be a minimum of 30 ft away from the car when not in use. Without getting technical here goes!....after shut down the car remains active for 20 minutes with everything in stand by mode, then after 40 completely goes asleep. By leaving the key in the vehicle or close by the car thinks "hey" were going for a ride so it stays active! Moral.................its goofy IMO but don't do it! see ya

Gato Negro:
Since you got the new battery, now is the time to install a CTEK smartcharger on the car. It will be the best $70.00 you have spent on the car.
The CTEK 3300 is highly used by other Jag owners here on the forum.
Here's the 2 items you will need.
I have not seen the CTEK 3300 priced this low. This is a GREAT price.
