I just installed Cambo’s Apple CarPlay kit in my ‘09 XK. I opted for the wireless version and it is awesome. No issues with lost connection, connects automatically, offers the option to plug the phone in for charging. The microphone is installed on the A pillar, calls are crystal clear and Siri does all the work. Cambo’s kit is complete and the instructions are clear and concise.

I have taken the plunge and installed this unit in my 2007 Xkr and created a thread titled xkr 2007 stereo upgrade. You can search for that thread to see further details
..
The thread here is lengthy and I’ll try to answer what I can to help people out with questions ..
The unit functions extremely well .
Boot up time is literally instant
It has the jaguar logo on cold boot
It also allows you to display a jag pic on screen . I do believe you can take your own pic of your car and display that but I have yet to try that out.
It allows you to plug in a sim card directly
It has phone mirroring for android and iOS
You can download apps from the Google play store as you would with any android device . ( Netflix isn’t compatible as a download) but you can always mirror your phone if you need that.
The Google maps function really well
It supports Siri I was told but have yet to try it out and I assume this works when you mirror your iOS apple phone to it .
The audio functions in terms of Eq and basic dsp enhances the sound nicely.
All the steering controls work fine
It is plug and play except for a few wires like the reverse wire for a camera and a few others which I can’t recall .
The plastic trim fits pretty well , in my case the wallnut trim was a very close color match . Not perfect but acceptable.
The aerial takes around 5 mins to retract because I was told the screen takes a while after locking the car to enter standby mode . This is because they want the screen to boot up more or less instantly when you start the car . I do appreciate this as other units take forever to boot up. The standby or sleep mode is great for me as it’s really starts up fast.
i think this should have answered most questions of not please head on over to the specific thread I posted .
