Default the dreaded one-wheel peel!!!!

wow, jag really missed the boat with the limited slip in the xkr's (or at least the 2007's). this thing when exiting a corner hard, does nothing but spin the unloaded inner-rear tire. kinda cheesy for a 90k car with and "R" on the back. maybe mine is not working right? I just got my car, but it only has 25,000 miles on it and was babied. it does do 2 wheel burnouts off the line though, making me think that the LSD is working properly.

There is no LSD in your vehicle, it's an open diff i'm afraid...

You can fit a mechanical LSD, i.e. Quaife, and it appears on paper than fitting the early S-Type diff/driveshafts to the XK is also possible, with a Ford 8.8" center.

There is someone working in the background on an E-Diff retrofit for the 4.2L cars as well.

Yep, the last supercharged Jag to have an LSD was the 1997 XJR, and then it came back with the E-Diff on the 5.0L cars in 2009/2010.

I fitted a Quaife to my XJR, made a big difference.

It's the only bolt-in aftermarket LSD that fits our cars.

And turns out a forum member has just listed one for sale here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/p...series-145820/

Wonder what the labor number is for dropping that "jack-pot" into place?

That's a pretty hefty price for an LSD. Sucks. Jaguar should have never made these cars without one.

Ford banned a LSD option for Jaguar, since with LSD Jag will compete an Aston Martin
