Question drive cycle 2007 xk

I have a 2007 xk. Had a check engine code cleared out a couple of weeks ago and have driven daily (including a couple of drives of well over 100 miles) since but cannot get to pass emissions due to drive cycle issue. Any suggestions ?

Which part of the cycle doesn't complete??? I'd guess EVAP.
95% of EVAP fails are due to a loose or faulty filler cap on the gas tank. Also, the cycle works best with between 1/4-3/4 full tank.
Regardless, you need to know what fails, there are many possibilities and whoever says it's NOT READY must have that information.

Usually the EVAP test is the last to complete after a code clear. As CeeJay stated, the tank should be between 1/4 and 3/4 full. On this car, after 3 hours or more of not driving (engine off), drive for at least 10 minutes. Park the car (engine off) and wait at least 3 hours. Then drive for at least 10 minutes again. Park the car and wait at least 3 hours again and then drive at least 10 minutes again. Park the car for at least 30 minutes.

At this point the EVAP test should be completed.

the fail is for "readiness" - emissions guy says that is a drive cycle issue. Ill give what you said a try - thanks

Your emission guy is a clown. There are probably ten different tests for "Readiness", all of which can either pass, fail or not complete.
Steve? You'd know more than I....

ive been to two different emissions places - the testing equipment fails a readiness test before performing the individual tests - watched him do it last time and printout says the same thing. so no readiness, no test, no pass

You're not in a state that allows one (sometimes more) unset (aka not ready) monitor(s)? Worth checking your laws as not all testers seem bothered!

The older the car the more you're often allowed to be unset.

(Every OBD clear/battery disconnect will unset them all.)
