Those Michelins were on my car when I bought it and they were dookie butter. Lateral grip was ok, but they were very loud, didn't hook up that well, and you can forget about it below 65°F or so. I've since switched to the BFG Sport Comp 2 with much better results in every direction. They hook up much harder and they're easier to drive at the limit, and while the turn in isn't quite as sharp, the lateral grip is superior. Plus, they're considerably quieter, and they don't follow the grooves in the pavement and concrete like the Michelins did.

Next time around will be the Firestone Indy 500s. They get the best reviews out of all the tires in that category... plus they're the cheapest.

At least they didn't fly into pieces and kill you at 145+.

hear how those tires hold up to the P Zeros. I’ve heard they can hold some power.

New Tires are night and day difference to the Stock Pirellis that came on the XFR-S, its not that hot today, about 21C (~70F), and they are hooking up great (for now)

Are you sure that the Michelins that you are referring to were the Pilot Sport 4S, and not another Michelin Tire? like the Pilot Super Sport, or the Pilot Sport A/S 3?

Either way here is the update... Final numbers are: 570.6WHP & 583.7WTQ, see the link for more details: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-xfr-s-189086/

Yep, they were PS4S. Nbd... everyone has different expectations of tires. As long as you like what you have.

Those numbers are incredible! The lower pulley swap makes some great power.
