Expansion tank / "Coolant reservoir" leak (2007 XK w/o supercharger).
So, on a whim, I decided to check my coolant level at the expansion tank. Was low, so topped it off to between min / max markers. Few days later, low again. Found a pinhole leak at the plastic spigot where fat hose exits. Tried to remove tank - two hoses and a securing screw, piece of cake, right? The tank is loose now, but seems to be secured elsewhere. Thinking a slot at side / bottom /? that it slides into? Not too much forward / aft area to move between brace and body. Has anyone been down this road (!) with the tank? Shop manual (page 1562) just mentions hose / screw removal.

An alternative is to clamp off the hose (which you'll do either way) and use a turkey baster to draw the coolant out. Slower but handier perhaps.

Just trying to do the same myself and came across your post. Did you succeed?
My coolant tank has a cracked inlet pipe so is leaking coolant when the engine is on. Purchased a new tank, thinking it would be easy to replace, but not as easy as it really should be. Removed the small hoses from the top connectors, but struggling to remove the large hose from the bottom/side of the tank (nearest the engine). Not much room to get a hand in!
Having examined the new coolant tank, I realised that once the single bolt had been removed, the tank needed to be slid towards the engine, however, it doesn't go far enough to release thanks to the brace, so this also needs to be released I assume. Haven't got this far yet!!!!
There's also a sensor connector under the tank to be disconnected. It'll be just my luck that it won't release on the old tank or the cable will be very short making it difficult to access!
A 5 minute job in theory is turning out to be much more difficult.
