Free Warranty Coverage

Free Warranty Coverage
Had my 2 year service warranty done today, oil change etc.. I was expecting a $250 invoice and got a $0 invoice. When does free service end? I thought the first year service was the only free service on the 2013 XKR.
My car is never tracked and always driven lightly. My brakes have over 90% left which is reasonable for a car with only 5,000 miles. My rear tires have 7/32nds left which is not much considering my driving happens. However, with the immediate availability of close to 500lbs of torque with the supercharger the car demands a lot of respect.
I also noticed the brake fluid is recommended to be changed every 2 years according to the service passport. They never changed the brake fluid or said anything about it.

Looks and sounds like you have a very good service dept. up where you live.
That's great news, $0 cost.

Thanks Ryan. I knew the 2011's had a great service offer. When I was in for my first service last year I understood the first service visit was on Jaguar only. This is a good surprise.

The Platinum Service on the 2011, 2012 was an incentive to the buyer to buy the Jaguar brand and the XJ, XF models. Jaguar did a vast amount of advertising reference this incentive. Appears to have worked as sales for the 2012 models rose modestly over previous years sales figures.

The Jaguar Service Passport recommends every 2 years. I'm going to call them on this. It will be nice to get it done twice during the warranty coverage instead of once.

Just talked with the service manager at my local Dealer (Niello, Sacramento) and they verified that this Platinum Service coverage stays with the car and will transfer to current owners not just the original buyer! Great news for us that bought used.
