Default Gear shift solenoid needed

I need a solenoid for my gear shift for a 2007 jaguar xk. It stopped in park yesterday and the only way I could get it in drive was to move the switch on the left side. This is cumbersome and annoying so I'd like to get thus fixed as cheap as possible. Can I use an 06 version?

Where are you located? Check some of the suppliers listed in the vendor section at the top of this page.

Stuart S, a veteran member is located in the Atlanta area and he is quite knowledgeable about XKs and XKRs. You might want to pm him.

I am clueless about the gear shift solenoid, and agree with Ralphwg's suggestion.
