Hard Reset to cure dash problems

I'm a new member with a 2013 five-litre X150 XK. On two occasions (five months apart), on start-up, my dash computer menu has shown the climate control section greyed-out. When this happens, I have no seat or steering wheel heating and the up and down temperature arrows on the heater controls fail to work. On both occasions the problem has restored itself without intervention when the car has been switched off and left for several hours. However, I understand this sort of thing can often be sorted by a hard reset. My question is:

Is there a way of effecting a reset by removing a fuse rather than disconnecting the battery negative lead?

Thanks in anticipation,

Michael

Your problem is probably a Low Battery condition. Nearly every weird electrical problem can be attributed to a low voltage.
Before anything else, get a good battery charger of at least ten amps and charge your battery for 24 hours. The reading on a good battery should be 12.6 volts or higher, and maintain 12.6 with little or no drain.
Many users in this forum use a Battery Maintainer. NOT a trickle charger, those are different. A popular one is the CTEK.

I will say it before everyone else does... Make sure your battery has at least 12.6 volts, anything less and it needs to be replaced... Use search feature about battery on X150 and I am sure you can read for the rest of your day... A lot of crazy things happen when the battery runs low, wise decision to invest in a battery maintainer if you haven't already...
