How does your bride like the XKR
How does the other half like the XKR? I mean do they like the styling , the interior the ride or the power. Does she/he drive it and do they enjoy that. I know the only 2 cars my wife didn't like/drive was my Daimler SP250 and the Ferrari 308 although she drove that over 100 mph a few times. Also those of you with kids who drive what were their thoughts.

Well she much preferes the Porsche 997 we used to drive...
Has nothing to do with the styling, engine, handling or trim ect.. Has to do with the fact that she thinks that only her dad or drivers that are over 60y, are old enough to drive a Jaguar.... NB... I use to think the same... however I stand corrected... PS. she is comming around, due to the attention the car gets overhere. The 997 is a dime a dusin, where as the XKR is very rare.. |
Isn't it funny? The Jag u feel just like it's an aventador... Literally get that what the hell is that look every time. Every stop to get gas people come over to see it!!! Amazing exclusivity for 33% the price of a Ferrari!!

I think my wife likes my XKR but she won't admit it. And doesn't like how much I spend on it. :D

She has never gotten behind the wheel of the XKR. She sticks to her 2012 Hyundai Tucson SUV, where she feels more comfortable sitting higher behind the wheel. It's a chick thing. |
The styling and attention does not go unnoticed by any woman, ours included. Jag’s have appealed to women for long time; just one of those marques women know and love.
90% of the time it would be the Range Rover (if she is driving) unless we going to be “seen” then it’s the Jag. You never have to ask to have the XK valeted in front; it’s assumed. Range Rover; not a chance, but I would rather have the valet drive off in the Range Rover than the XK. |
You think the Range Rover doesn't have a chance in getting valeted out front--try a Hyundai Sonata! They'll practically bury that car 6 feet under so nobody can see it!

My missus had reservations, particularly because I'd only had the second XF for 12 months when I pulled the trigger for the XKR. Maybe also the thought it might be evidence of a mid life crisis was lurking in the background. Seeing it in the metal brought pretty much immediate approval (she thought it looks much better than in photos). And she likes to drive it (has been known to put her foot down on occasion). And on top of that, because I drive it carefully, she likes to be a passenger in it, and thinks that the ride is better than the XF, strangely enough. So it's been an all round success.

Wife digs it (2010 XKR, lowered and tuned). Have yet to get her to use the sport button, let alone the dynamic button and the paddles, but she has a big grin on her face every time she comes back from driving it. Which is good, since it's supposedly her car :)
