I need 2 x front XK wheels 245/40/18's

Hello, I am looking for 2 x XK wheels. This is to replace my 275's on the rear of my S-Type. A bit of background. I bought the S-Type of a family friend and JAg Dealer have told me I have XK alloys on there. Fronts are OK, rears are incorrect. After some research from this forum, I have been told it is very likely that is where my LIMP MODE is coming from. Incorrect rears sending wrong signals to ABS, causing a LIMP MODE! YES a NIGHTMARE! I am based in SW London, if you can help, please do. Its a shame as I have lovely Alloys on the car and if I can swap/ Part X or replace I am interested. Cheers, Mannix

The only 18" wheels fitted to 2006+ XKs were the 7-spoke Venus (8.5J X 18 Front/9.5J X 18 Rear), and I'd imagine those are rare - most XKs have 19" wheels, XKRs have 20". I believe the tyres they take are 245/45ZR18 Front / 275/40ZR18 Rear. So I don't think there is a 245/40ZR18 wheel - there's a 245/40ZR19. But those are fronts, not rears.

Can you post a pic of the wheels you have, so we have a better idea?

The OP needs to post the exact tire sizes fitted front and rear.

Better yet, revs per mile of each type.

If the front and rear are about the same, the limp home mode is
due to some other reason.

This brings up a quest for me. How is the tire pressure monitored on the XK's. My Lexus has a TPM in the tire stem which monitors pressure. The system in my kid's Audi measures rev's per mile. So what does the Jag system do.

Probably much less costly and less aggravation for the OP to buy 4 new aftermarket wheels and tires. I suspect that he's in the wrong forum and his existing wheels are from the previous generation XK8.
