I just joined having purchased my 2004 XK8 a few days ago. I need a passenger seat module (controller) as this one is completely missing. Is this a used item, a dealer item, or are there discounted parts vendors? I searched a bit and offer my apologies if the answer is already here, but I failed to find it. How do you good people find the right part numbers, is there a master parts catalog somewhere? I like to do my own work but need a good source of Jag parts. Thanks in advance for any insights or new owner advice you may have.

 

Oopsies, you got into the wrong forum. You're looking for the XK8-XKR (X100) forum for the 1997-2006 models. This is the X150 forum.

 

Several on the little known 'Bay of E' if you search It helps if you search the part no, the actual number will be the same right or left, just the last two digits may be different.

thanks for this, not sure which is the part number. Here is a "blind" shot under the driver seat module. Are these the numbers I should search? So far no car parts on Fleabay under any of these digits... Should I pull the module and look for a different set of numbers somewhere on the case?

 

Does this help? Ebay has a lot of them. Evidently they cross models so there is a larger supply.

Yes that helps a lot. I pulled the driver side and find LJE2160AB is there. Most important none of the 2004 modules have the proper connections, it appears my seats need a 2003 controller with the 10 pin and 16 pin square connectors. However, there is no LJE2160 on ebay, will a LNC2160AD work for me? I suspect left and right are different. I am still a newbie to Jaguar jargon and do not know what these variants in part number mean.
