I had this EXACT problem 2 months ago!

It turns out it was my bluetooth module going out, I believe its located under the seat.
I no longer can connect my phone to bluetooth for phone calls, but the screen has stopped
going on and off ever since the bluetooth module finally crapped out..

Bluetooth module’s located in the boot, in the stack on the right side behind the rear seats (where the nav drive’s located). Failing modules on the MOST network will cause this sort of thing as well as heat, faulty earth, battery/alternator voltage issues, cold solder joints, etc.

I'm not sure if my issue is related....but with regards to the stack in the trunk on the right side of the battery. On my 2010 XK 5.0...There are 3 units on the right side on this stack. The bottom is black which is the DVD unit for the the GPS. I'm not sure what the top unit is. However, in the middle there is a chrome unit that is constantly warm, even when my car sits for weeks while on my CTEK 3300. Is this unit for the infotainment or possibly the bluetooth module? I believe the 2010 has 3 units stacked on the right side versus what the earlier XKs have. I would submit the picture of the stack to the forum if I was able to figure out how to get the photo from my phone to this site. . I'm concerned because the unit is constantly warm, even when the car sits for weeks at a time. Any ideas?

In addition to the NAV unit, there will be a Bluetooth module, satellite or DAB module, and IAU audio interface (iPod dock, USB, etc). The ICM is below the TSD.

Thanks jahammer for your feedback.... but I'm not sure what the ICM or the TSD is...Can you clarify as to what the unit I am referring to in the center of the stack might be? Is it normal for it to be warm while the car is off? Thanks very much.

Could be the Bluetooth but it should not be powered when the car is asleep, I think.

It is difficult to weigh in appropriately without the DTCs. As she’s switching from an on state to an off state, I would expect a number of DTCs to be stored. I am still at the “first question” stage in the support effort unable to go further.
Is she “rebooting”
Is she “overheating”
With the vibrations in cars, is it a MOST issue? Power Issue? GND issue?

From my vantage We don’t seem to be getting anywhere.
