After doing the rear LED upgrade to my 07, I had two fogs and two backups, one of each on each side. Looks much better than the ‘single eyed pirate’ choice Jag made for the 07-09 models.

Where did you get your parts? Two years ago someone did this and still had the one/one.

I'd love to have two back up lights. I sometimes hit the rear fog light as I go to reverse just to accomplish this.

Got them from SNG Barret (sp?).
There was a thread a couple of years ago, where it was indicated that they had some from the late model cars that had been used in crash tests. Got the lights and wiring harness, then followed the directions posted by George Kale in a PDF file attached to an earlier thread.
Been working great for two years so far.

Here is a listing for the 'kit' to change the rear tail lamp assemblies:

https://www.adamesh.co.uk/jaguar-xk-...ion-2000-p.asp

Personally I feel £791.67 excluding VAT is a bit much to pay just to have two reversing and fog lamps, but I'm sure others would feel differently.

This photo was directly in front of the treadmill in the cardiac lab when I had a nuclear stress test at my local hospital. It spoke to me and said: "You have reached the end of the road." That was over 4 years ago. Still here and enjoying the ride in my Jags!

HA! It only took quadruple bypass for me to finally move, and I drove the R to every cardio therapy session so my heart was warmed up when I arrived!

my stunning radiance red 2007 xk w/15k miles may not be worth much now but it certainly looks like a $100k machine and all the people that stare at it endlessly likely think similarly.

I am not selling it so what do I care? gorgeous car and always delivers me in style!!!!

This is it, the only question we need to ask is the car less valuable to us now. I thank my stars, I have indeed grown tired of many of the alternatives I was considering at the time. And they outright look out of place. This car has passed the test of time.

Similar to the Stock analogy, The multi-billion dollar Lloyd's of London was built on assuming the risk we would not.

Ask a BMW owner of a two year old I8 about depreciation. They can be bought around the Los Angeles area used for about $80,000 or well less than 50% of its original sticker. Depreciation comes with the terrirtory of luxury cars. Since, like others, I keep cars forever, it doesn't really matter so long as you're happy with what you bought and you purchased it at a reasonably competitive price.

Plus as you mentioned.... you keep the car for an extended period time. At that point it has depreciated out and what do we care because we most likely are dedicated to the car and are caring for it.

Why choose? I'll just take both.

As soon as you drive it off the lot it will probably be worth about $60K less than the already greatly reduced asking price. Many used 2016's are now advertised at ~50% of the original MSRP! Talk about steep depreciation.

I just bought my 2009 XK Coupe for $22,900. It carfacts as a one owner car with 44k miles. I shopped on line for almost 2 years, looking for such a car, even the color is right for me.

I had that color combination local to me when I went looking, called and made an appointment to see it, left a deposit, came back and took possession. Three days from browsing for sale adds to owning.

I *really* love the Caramel interior. 2009 has a few upgrades over 2007/2008. You should have a fun enjoyable car there!
