Jaguar XK 2007 - Engine will not Kick Start
Hello all,
I had an accident with my Jaguar Xk 2007. One of the Airbags deployed.
The problem that I am facing is that the engine will not start. I have searched the internet to find out if the Jaguar XK has an inertia switch but no luck. I have been told that the switch has been removed in this model.
Not sure now where the problem might be. The Jaguar is at a car electrician and he checked all the fuse boxes. Also, not sure if the problem is in depressuring the brakes?
Airbag has been replaced. Fuse boxes have been looked into.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks,
Jason

I am assuming your location is not near a Jaguar dealer, who has direct access to factory electronic fault diagnosis.
You can easily "reboot" the cars electronic control unit ("ECU"), also known as the car's computer by disconnecting the positive and negative cables from the battery so that there is no power whatsoever from the battery to the auto system. With the battery disconnected then press the two cables (positive and negative) together for a few minutes. This action will discharge some of the capacitors within the ECU that control the ECU's "memory". Then reconnect the positive and negative cables to the battery. If it then starts, the ECU will "relearn" the qualities of your motor.

Might just be a low battery? Or bad battery cable connections? Just thowing those in as a thought. You probably already thought of those though. Might turn the headlights on and see if they dim when you go to Start. Dim as in not being lit up anymore.
Just thowing mud against the wall to see if something will stick.
