Hi el jalapeno. post from you coolant leak rear of engine
did you ever post the part number for the hose that cause the leak on the rear of your XK 2010 engine. I had the same thing happen to me today in my 2010 XKR. On the interstate, shot up to 110mph, ac went warm, low coolant light came on, it was 106 degrees out here in scottsdale Arizona. Do you have the part number to the hose that was replaced? And what was the cost of the repair?

2010 XK. - License plate lights did not work. I did the trick of touching the two battery cables together for 20-seconds. - That Worked!!! - But... When I just took it to get it Inspected, it did not pass, because it had lost it's "Faults Codes" for emissions. They said I needed to drive it 150-miles and bring it back. - Question: Is there a way of getting those Codes back quicker? - Thanks.

License Plate Lights
Hi
I know this is an old post, but I have the problem of no License Plate lights on my 2003 XKR. I have tried the process of disconnecting battery leads and shorting them together a couple of times, but no joy. I have checked the cable and all in good repair. I have checked the fuse to the rear light that is supposed to be on the same circuit. Nothing corrects the problem. I have read JTB00226 - but this seems to apply to later models than mine. I see that the middle seat is supposed to be removed to get to the junction box - but my rear seat seems to be one piece.Maybe becuase I have an earlier model?? Also, the trunk button on the outside of the trunk has never operated while I've owned the car - but no big deal, the remote works and the button on the dash works. All seems to point to a faulty auxilliary board??? - Anyone have thoughts?
My options seem to be to try the dealer (closest to me is Mobile, AL), or to simply wire the bulbs to the tail light. Any problem doing that? it seems like a simple fix?
Thanks for any suggestions!
Neil
