MAP vs MAPT sensors in 4.2 S/C

While removing my S/C and troubleshooting the 'restricted performance' after assembly, I realized that the manual specifies a MAP sensor (on the throttle elbow) and a MAPT sensor (on the RH intercooler).

SNG Barratt's website lists them as the same part number and same sensor, but when I removed the old ones, the one off the intercooler (left one in the pic) did not have the little probe sticking out.

Are they supposed to be the same part? Or different? If the computer can't read the temp of the charged air, perhaps it would flag the 'restricted performance' message?

All the work I've done is documented in the "4.2 throttle body elbow and supercharger removal advice" thread.

Any help is appreciated.

Apparently they are the same. Swapping the sensors did not trigger the restricted performance and didn't seem to affect anything.

I guess the little probe may have just fallen off at some point (not good if it went into the intake).

MAP sensor near the throttle body is p/n C2C22616, 2W93-9F479-AA

TMAP sensor in the induction manifold is p/n AJ82763, 1N1A-9F479-AA

They aren't the same, don't mix them up.

Thats what I thought .. then I looked for both online and they always show up as the same part number.
