Default Waterpump Replacement Help 2011 XKR

The low coolant light came on for the second time. I actually put about 1/3 of a gallon in it to fill it. I keep smelling antifreeze and did a pressure test with very little loss. I could see their was some rust deposits. The bearing in the pump felt good but I could see it had been slinging water. I removed the coolant with a pump but only took out less than a gallon. It was like the reservoir was full but the radiator was not so much. I think I dodged a big bullet. But was surprised and wondered how that happened.
I broke off he coolant pipe that goes into the water pump. I couldn't figure how to get that out. I want to replace both S belts and both pulley assembly and the lower and upper hoses and thermostat and maybe the housing. I will also need to replace that coolant line. I was wondering because I am on a DIY project where there is a list of OEM product numbers already posted somewhere so I could order up what I need. And maybe how to remove that line without breaking it the next time. Thanks in Advance

I've moved your post from General Tech Help to X150 forum. It is a model-specific question. More members with the same model will see it here and be able to help.

Obtain the Workshop Manual as it outlines the procedures for replacing the parts you mentioned. The Workshop Manual is available from several Internet vendors on eBay and the like.

There have been several versions of the AJ133 water pump, so check the availability from the forum vendors under the Marketplace drop-down menu listed at the top of the page.

I actually have the work shop manual but it doesn't show any part numbers. We have gotten the pump off and have researched the part numbers from Jaguar and found that most of their parts were very competitive. Except for the Pump itself and the thermostat housing that comes all together.
We replace a very long coolant line that has an area that splits off from the reservoir. Part number C2P13304 called bleed hose.
We snapped off the line that comes right out of the water pump. Found out from Jaguar that part number is C2Z26930(46.70)
the adaptation changed and it flows right into the radiator hose coming off the pump C2Z28259 (47.00) The thermostat housing was 82.75 from Jag C2Z19929 but found it on ebay for $1.93 Dayco) The other S hose that comes off the pump isC2Z 22073 $25.48 The Supercharger belt is C2D39175 found it on ebay for 31.93 Dayco. The Supercharger pulley C2021157 56.75. The engine drive pulley T2R10142 79.50. The 5.0 supercharged engine does not have a cross over pipe like the XK. The Jag people told me they would not even do a pump change without putting the plastic connector behind the pump in. Part Number C2Z18658 $29.64 You also need the Extra O ring behind the pump also AJ811539 $9.73 I bought the pump on line on Ebay for 171.89 (The jaguar numbe is AJ813909the one I found on line wasC2Z28189. Parts will be in by Tuesday and we will reassemble. Haven't decided on the type of coolant to use yet.

Use coolant meeting specification WSS-M97B44-D.

Good morning. I haven't been in Hawaii since 1985 I am sure things have changed. Florida is tropical enough for me though.
I know you have a cross over pipe that the R doesn't have and I have heard they can be more problematic than the pump. But Im sure you can find a good thread on here that can help you. If your thinking of a DIY call a Jag dealer, and their parts man will give you the numbers on everything you need. I actually discovered the criticalness of the plastic sleeve behind the pump by talking with them about it and then learned of the new configuration of that small hose that is now connected to front of the pump and is now also connected to the hose that comes off the pump. (that little hose is just an o ring that pops into the pump. except I couldn't get it to pop out and broke it) The job is not that hard you just have to be patient with yourself through the process. Try not to drop anything because then you have to decide if your gonna drop the bottom shield. I heard that will take awhile. I did both pulleys and belts while I was in there. Good luck.

Leaking WP Driving me crazy. Replaced the pump and two hoses. but it is leaking. Doesn't appear to be from the front of the pump or the hoses. I am guessing it is from the tube behind the pump that connects with an o ring on each side. We pulled it off once, double checked everything but it is still dripping underneath. I have bought a new tube and two new o rings, not wanting to have to do this again. It doesn't seem like that plastic tube could possible go in wrong, but that is the only place I can figure its coming from.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Next Tuesday we tear into the leaking WP again. Third time. I spoke to someone about the plastic tube. He suggested putting it in first and twisting it so help it seat the o ring... and then slide the WP on at a 45 to get a little seating of that O ring also before bolting it on. I will try anything at this point. I have a new tube and two new O rings. If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them. The forum has been pretty quite on this one sadly. I will keep you posted.

IIRC there is a small protrusion on the plastic tube that goes into the back of the water pump. This protrusion keys to a feature on the manifold (I guess) to stop it moving backwards when you push the pump onto the tube. Big Will has a post about water pump replacement on the X250 forum that explains it in a little more detail. The manual also make mention of properly locating the feature when fitting the pump.
