Default XKR Proximity sensors

I Have an '11 XKR and was thinking about adding two additional proximity sensors onto the lower bit of the front fascia. This would be a great front-end saving feature, as when one pulls up the the now standard concrete parking stops, the sensors shoot over and no longer "see" the concrete when you get close.
Has anyone tried this? Or any thoughts on it. Thanks

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X150 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

That's a great idea! Unfortunately I don't have any front parking assist sensors, so I can't help you out.

I don't have the wiring diagram and you would need to look at it but I think it should be able to be done. If you use the OEM sensor and mount them under the ones in the front I would think would be optimal . Also because the ones mounted are identified on the screen as right or left I would think you could wire them in parallel to each sensors. I would wire the right one to the right unit on the front cover and the left to the left. So after you check the wiring or if anyone else knows here let us know what you did and how it turned out. Good idea.

I agree, only one or two "extra" sensors (wired in parallel) to the two center sensors. Even just one centered, would do it, as you don't really need the left/right feedback, only straight ahead distance (via the beeping tone). Continuous beep seems to be at 12 inches from a sensor.
Myself, I don't watch the animated screen during head first parking, I'm craning my (6'2") neck to see over the hood, and not smash the front of the damn car, lol. Sometimes even getting out to look! It's a total guess right now.
