New Millennial neighbors were walking through the Subdivision with friends while I was working outside and spotted my Jag in the garage.
They said is that an electric Jag ? I guess they spotted my extension cord running to my CTech unit in the trunk.
Because the 2010 XK looks almost new, I don't think the knew it was that old.
Anyway, to play along with them I said it's an XK-E, 500 mile range, and still high performance, 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 140 mph.
Man, they ate that up, even after telling them is was over 90K new.
This went on for a few minutes until I felt guilty about what I was doing and confessed the truth, we all got a laugh out of it, although I think they may have felt a little embarrassed .
Nice kids, we now have something to talk about.

 

None of 'em astute enough to ask "then what is that big fuel filler door was for?"
