My new XK 2012

Hey lads. My XKR 2006 final edition is now sharing garage with the XK coupe 2012. So I hope you have some room for a new member in the X150 forum.
Photos from the listing by now, will upload some more casual photos soon.

Very nice. A great stable mate.

Excellent choice!

You've got the bases covered, with the X100 for nice sunny days with the top down and the X150 for the rest of the year!

Very very nice car!

Old Radar 01-05-2019 10:56 PM

Sweet! Keep those seats clean!

Thanks lads! Still thinking about selling the x100. I put only about 7k a year to the car. Having two is completely unnecessary. But of course I love the way they look together!
Here’a another pic at my office parking lot. Cars dangerously too close. How you deal with that?

I'd keep the X100. It's nice to have a convertible in Miami.

I solved the parking lot problem by retiring. That also solved the rush hour traffic problem.

Get some of those orange traffic cones, get to work early, find 3 adjoining empty stalls, park in the middle one, place a cone in the other 2. Later arrivals will think some maintenance work is to be done there, and will park elsewhere! (remember to take your cones when you leave)

Congratulations on picking the perfect color combination for this car.
Some thoughts:

Get there late- leave early

Avoid parking next to cars that are difficult to get in and out of, those doors get swung the widest.

Avoid cars belonging to those who have given up on life- like a brand new Nissan Juke. Your car means nothing to them, no car does.

Make a mental note of which cars are driven by your obese teammates- avoid them, its a wrestling match for them to get into cars, you will get a 2inch 'ding-scratch' (speaking from experience) as their car goes down by 2" while door is being pushed as hard as possible. And they are oblivious the whole time because its trivial compared to their struggle.

You wont believe this, sadly it came down to getting there insanely early to get the corner spot or just driving the daily driver.

Gorgeous car. Congrats

SirJohn 01-14-2019 08:39 AM

Wow, that car is awesome! Congrats

SirJohn 01-14-2019 08:40 AM

Hahaha, is that even legal? :icon_razz:

SirJohn 01-14-2019 08:42 AM

I found a spot that is separated from the rest so the plan is getting early and leaving the car there. Thanks for the advice!
