Need help identifying wires in trunk not hooked up
Similar questions - If any of you don't mind a PM or three about some of the dumber questions a new owner might have, let me know. I'm poking around on the car and learning but I'm trying to balance a bit of 'learn and figure this out' and 'ask the group' without asking the same things that others have posted here. I guess I should start my own thread and figure out how to post pics
As the car is in good shape at the moment, this is all proactive but I'm like a new father -- more nervous than one should be for sure but unable to NOT be so.
My initial concerns are verifying my battery health with diagnostics and getting a new CTEK. It looks like there was one installed and so the lead wire is still there, so if I get the right kind it should hopefully be plug and play. I'll feel far more comfortable if I know how to measure the battery health and how to jump the car it if it doesn't start one morning.
I also feel it's a no-brainer to get an OBD2 like the Icarsoft jag/LR to pull codes, so once I confirm the model on that there's another purchase.
Thanks for all the info here. Just getting started.

You'll always get some stick over posting a topic that's been covered many times but will always get either an answer or a useful link. The only exception to this is a 'best oil' question. The collective groan from around the World can almost be felt.
