Another beautiful British machine. Second only to the P-51 Mustang (after they installed the Rolls Royce engine) of course.

I am sure you know that the very plane in your picture and your car was made under the same roof....using the same technique of Al monocouque .

In which case you must see the film, First of a Few, with Sir David Niven.
Its a glimpse into what a Herculean effort the creation of the Spitfire was.
If for no other reason than to discover the heritage of your car.

One of my favorite models of my youth. Others were P-38 Lighting , P-51 Mustang and F4U Corsair.

Upper and lower stainless steel grills are available from Mina Gallery for both XK and XKR.

One thing to note, that lower grill seems to be a screw on cover drilling its way to the stock grill.

Not sure how you might like or dislike that.

all of the grills are being held on like the factory, with tabs. I stopped by Mina Gallery and the grills are not Mina

The Miata has always had English cues. But I am wondering about the whole look of that Aston. Id have to own it, to really make a decision

Isn't comparing ANYTHING to a miata the ultimate insult? Vile cars, miatas.

Miata is a copy of a the Lotus Elan, and moreover the entirely abandoned British Formula of lightweight roadster.
As result Miata is the most successful sports convertible in history!

exactly. Its why it has had success. Miatas use to be hairdresser cars, as the girls in accounting like to put it, but now they have become uncool/cool.
