Options for replacing brush metal interior trim parts?
I have a 2009 XKR Portfolio edition, and I would like to replace the (simulated) brush metal inserts in the dashboard, doors and console. I’d like to get something a bit more traditional or even carbon fiber. Does anyone know of a supplier of these parts?
Thanks Steve |

There are a lot of sets of the wood grain for sale on eBay. |
"Rich Oak" is the name of the OEM genuine wood veneer trim used exclusively on the 2009 XKR Portfolio models. It was used on the dashboard, center console, and door pulls. It first appeared on the 2009 XKR Portfolios and, I believe, was also available on some 5.0L models. It was discontinued by Jaguar and is no longer available.
You might get lucky and find pieces on eBay or from dismantlers (a.k.a "breakers" or "junkyards". Check with Forum Sponsors who sell used parts. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...5f5e2c46c4.jpg The bottom right photo looks wonky because the ceiling is reflected on the shiny clear coat on the veneer |
As a cheap (price and ???) alternative to genuine wood veneer, you may want to consider this pre-cut vinyl overlay product that is available in more colors and patterns than dogs have fleas.

too bad. I have the factory burl walnut. I especially like how they butterfly cut the trim so that the grain matches on the left and right side of the car.
