Default Portfolio 2010 XK?

Are all 2010 XKs Portfolio editions? If not what does Portfolio edition mean?

I don't know the specifics but not all 2010s are portfolios. 2010 has standard most of the 2009 portfolio options though.

Not all 2010's XK are Portfolio Editions, which usually have special brakes, wheels and interior changes. I own a 2009 XKR Convertible "Portfolio Edition", and when you open the door the door plates show the Portfolio Edition. The PE is about an $8000 MSRP additional cost for the option. It is considered a Luxury Option.

See the photo showcase link of my car ....in my signature below.

US cars did away with portfolio package for 2010+ model year. All models came standard with features previously reserved for portfolio. All 2010 XKs will have the upgraded trim features, with only a few options available. Options included 20" wheels, HD radio, heated windscreen and adaptive cruise.

Later model years saw the introduction of a "touring" edition, which was a new base model without the extras, but not 2010.

So jaguar models/packages of this body style now available in US are
--XK touring (base XK) <not available in 2010>
--XK
--XKR
--XKRS. <not available in 2010>
--XKRS-GT. <not available in 2010>

Not so with European/ UK models, which have kept the Portfolio marketing angle.

So in the words of the Eagles, "We haven't had that spirit here since 2009."

I looked at the local Jaguar dealer (Garcia Jaguar, El paso, TX) earlier this year when first looking at the F-Type. They had an 2013 XKR convertible with the "PORTFOLIO LUXURY PACK" as an option on the car and on the window sticker which was about $8000 additional. MSRP on the car was $108,000<>.

Also the PORTFOLIO LUXURY PACK comes in a specific special color.

Check this video out if any doubt as the PORTFOLIO LUXURY PACK does indeed still exist. The video explains all of the special features of the PORTFOLIO PACKAGE.

Video is only about 3:30 sec.

I stand corrected. They did introduce a new portfolio trim package in 2013. But not for 2010. There is also a special edition XKR 175 trim and performance package that was available in 2011 only (limited edition), but not in 2010. Bottom line is, if you are looking for a 2010 Portfolio, you won't find one. But you're right, Richzak, I didn't know about the latest offerings.

It is a valid question for anyone looking at used XKs (like I was), because you see a 2009 with "Portfolio" on the sill, and you know it's something special, but then you decide you like the rotary shifter, or the sound of the bigger engine (keeping in mind that the 2009 XKR is still a more powerful car), so you start looking at the 2010s. But they say "Jaguar" on the sill and you start wondering what you're missing. And no used car dealer can tell you (they're still referring to it as "the XK8"). So you set off on that search for the elusive 2010 Portfolio with contrast stitching and heated and cooled 16-way adjustable seats and Bowers & Wilkins premium sound and heated steering wheel and soft-grain leather and... Wait a minute... That is the 2010 XK.

Well great. Now I'm going to have to get off the Internet and go admire it. Sigh.
