I have searched the XK8 forum and found threads re: reattaching rearview mirrors, however, all the windshield connection points (buttons) are rectangular while mine is round and seems to have a double sided adhesive ring which holds it to the glass.
I can't find any reference to this attaching (adhesive) ring in either JTIS or JEPC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to a reply....as I can no longer look backwards.

 

Sorry, we're all X150 (2006+ XK) owners in here, so the level of XK8 expertise is low. I owned an XK8 but never did any work on the mirror, and I don't have a workshop manual for that model.
