Hey guys, so this is my first post as I've never been huge on forums until recently but anyway I'm having issues with my 2012 XKR's convertible roof. When I put it down for the first time in about 2 months the other day it worked fine but when putting it back up it started making what I can best describe as a screeching noise and it was slower, I cringed threw putting it back up and haven't touched the button since. It would figure that this issue would happen the day before I leave for NYC so I'm currently away from the car. I was just wondering if any of you had an idea as to what could possibly be wrong so I can know what to expect price wise for the necessary repairs when I get back.

 

Warranty should solve any problem you have on a 2012. I have a 2012 vert also but no problems so far.....

 

My top makes a screeching sound in very hot weather. But not cold weather!

 

Have you put grease on each hinge or axle? Not sure the correct term, but I would want make sure all moving parts are not impeded.

Use that manufacturer warranty!
