Satnav loses its way
One of the very few problems I have had with the tired XKR is the satnav getting lost. I know many would say using the original satnav is pointless (and I do have a modern Garmin unit) but I find it works well for the driving I tend to do.
So, what happens is that it works fine for months and then suddenly in mid-journey the 'pointer' veers off the road to one side or another and then proceeds on its own journey. When I 'fix' it by using the calibration screen I find the pointer is now miles from my actual location and pointing in the wrong direction. At a guess I would say its losing its compass reading.
It did it to me last week half way up round the M25 on my way to Hatfield. One minute all was well and it was correctly advising distance to next turn off; the next it was off into the nearby fields and away on its own trip.
If anyone else has seen this and knows of a non-intrusive fix - maybe a cable needing re-seating or something (is the compass built into the satnav box itself?) then I'd love to hear.

Some have removed that antenna and they were all kinds of corroded. Others, not so much.
