@Cee Jay I now recall you said that, and scrolled back to reread your post. Does that only happen with the passenger door, or even with the driver door if you don’t have your key? Does it happen both top up and down?
I often go to the garage and open the driver door without the key nearby. Never tried the passenger door, as it’s next to the wall.
Either door or the boot. Never tried the bonnet that I can remember. Top up or down.
Yes the damn wall. The bane of every DIYer’s existence.
Your driver's door is smack up against the wall! How do you get out? Big shoehorn? Climbing over the transmission tunnel is too risky to your manhood! Why do you think it's called the J hook? Now I know why you leave the top down - so you can stand up while struggling to get out. Am I right?
There's a better way, and you can leave the top up.
Back into the garage so the passenger door is as close as possible to the wall. Your XKR will still be the same distance away from your wife's car, but it'll be much easier to get in and out of. You can use your pool noodle to protect it as I previously explained in my Post #64.
i pull/back her in based on which side I need access to for what I’m gonna work on the next day.
Today it was replacing the clips on the back seat center part and removing fuse 19 for a car show.
I’m tall and thin. So I can open the door and squeeze out. Tonight I pulled in so I can get to the rear end. Just hoping there are jack point markers on the rear. Haven’t looked yet. Going to look at the rear suspension.
I’ve set aside a few of the pool noodles for car use.

Removing Fuse 19? Is that an XKR thing or does it work on XKs too?
Click the link below for everything you need to know about Fuse 19 and the Active Exhaust on the Supercharged X150 4.2L and 5.0L models. XK models are normally aspirated and don't have the Active Exhaust. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...se-19-a-87400/
