Default So I saw a Fisker Karma in the flesh...

SO, this weekend on my way up GA 400 I drove by a Fisker Karma EVer. Actually he slowed down when he got near me and was looking my XKR as much as I was looking at his. I was impressed with the shape and looks of the car. It was in Black and was a pretty good looking car.

When I got home I looked it up on the net and after reading about it am not very impressed - especially for its $100K+ price tag.

I hope Jags attempt at this is much better.

They had a silver one in the showroom at Jaguar in Great Neck, NY. I agree, it is a very nice looking car. Will be interesting to see how it holds its value.

I saw one the other day too. Definitely a head-turner.

I think the new Fisker model coming out at around $50 is just as nice looking, albeit a little more mainstream in styling and will help bolster the brand.

Not really impressed with the Karma's numbers though. Neither fast nor that fuel efficient.

they had one of these at Road Atlanta during last year's American Series Petit LeMans.

They are... interesting looking... they remind me of a Maserati in the front and an Aston Martin in the rear...

not a fan of the diamond shaped fascias in the front bumper and rear bumper at all...

looks like a car designed with several ideas from exotic car models thrown into one... jack of all trades, master of none...

but, it did gather a crowd everyday around it at the track. to each his own, i guess.

One of the options is a paparazzi magnet, but it's available only in Los Angeles.

p.s. OK, if you didn't get it, on July 9 Justin Bieber was stopped for speeding in LA in his chrome-wrapped Fisker Karma while attempting to escape from paparazzi.

I looked/sat in an inferno colored one with the sand interior. I was impressed with the interior and use of leather throughout the car. I think they will do better with the lower cost vehicle. The fire victim one is very fishy. Why would you have a $100k car sittin under a metal carport and a 98 or so Mercedes SUV inside? I can understand the NSX sitting inside but not the SUV. I think his wife was pissed at him for buying it LOL

I have seen one a few times on the way to work. I was next to it at a light. Massive Brembos on the Karma! The car would look fantastic if it was a coupe. The 2nd set of doors just look odd to me.

Jaguar trumps Fisker. Karma has 6-piston front calipers with 370mm front discs; my 2009 XKR with Alcon brakes has 6-piston calipers with 400mm front discs.

Just saw my first last Saturday... (Very interesting, but everyone was still fixated on the 3 McLaren MP4-12's that were in the same parking lot...)
