Default New XKR Owner

I just wanted to say hello to everyone, i have been lurking over in the XJ Series 1,2,3 side of the forum for many years and just this week i purchased a 2007 XKR from a local forum member.
Only having owned the car for a couple of days i am speechless, what a machine!!!!! Previous owners have done a fantastic job of looking after the car and i feel fortunate to be it's next guardian. i've never owned such a clean and well kept "used" car.

I am perfectly happy working on cars so hope to be able to solve any issues that arise, time will tell of course.

Russell

Welcome, Russell, you've certainly come to the right place for everything XK. As a relatively new member and owner, I've been impressed with the knowledge and experience of people here. I know you'll continue to enjoy the XK as much as you have already!

Welcome!

Your 07 XKR is a better made vehicle than any of the older XJs you've mentioned, and obviously a lot younger; and really the known things are so minor that you'll not get top spend as much time working on them.

Enjoy the drive!

Welcome and good for you! You'll love the car more each time you drive it.
And you have great roads in NoCal to enjoy it on.

Beauty.....and you have the advantage of getting a fairly recent style at a fraction of the cost of an equivalent 2014 or 2015. Enjoy!!!!

Yep, Liquid Silver... It's party piece seems to be to turn a pale blue color when the sun is out.

I was not really sold on the chrome wheels to be honest, would have much preferred them painted, but they are growing on me, perhaps when they need to be re-coated i will have them painted.

After looking at a few cars this one stood head and shoulders above the rest. 2007 with 29000 miles and in pretty much showroom condition.

One happy person

The measure of your happiness is how long you continue to look into your garage every night before going to sleep.

I'm at 11 years! (my excuse for taking out the trash!)

We are not alone. There's no vaccine for COVID-X150. It's highly contagious and no one knows how long it lasts.

Known as Jaguar Disease, it is incurable, and it is not confined to owners of the XK. It is found extensively among owners of virtually every model and age of Jaguar. I have long referred to it as the disease for which no cure is wanted. It has no parallel among the owning populations of other luxury makes, and it is not confined to any age group or geographical area.
