After weeks of dealing the final is Jaguar USA will pay 65% of the factory top which will be made by their company in England. Cost is over $4K. I have to pay the balance. There is a after market top cost $2300.00 but Jag will not be involved with after market and the dealer cannot either since Jag can get a factory replacement. So the new top is on order,10 days, and then install ,3 days. Jaguar would not move on the 65% saying it is a cosmetic issue NOT covered under warranty but would help out. Interesting is the factory top is one year warranty, after market is 6 years I told Jag that and it did not matter.So on with new factory top. Also I was told the reason for the window coming out is excessive use.? what the hell is a vert good for if not running, here in Florida< with top down. I will say I was lucky to get the top in the color, mineral Green which was special order with the botanical green body color. But after all said and done I still have a very fine automobile.
