Default Warning Fraudulent/Deceptive Ebay Ad for Jaguar XKR parts

Hey guys,
Probably a pretty slim chance anyone on here would actually end up buying these but I felt like it wouldn't hurt to warn you guys.

This seller is listing a complete set of rear tail lights for an 07+ XKR. He is trying to pass them off as in perfect condition. I emailed him on 2 occasions asking him to verify that there are no scratches or imperfections and he assured me they were mint. I then examined one of his pictures (that he has since taken down after I called him out on it) and found a clearly broken section on the light.

When I emailed him and asked him to explain the clearly broken section, he simply straight out denied it and said I didn't know what I am talking about!!

He since has removed the photo in question from his new post and you can even see in his main photo he intentionally crops out the section that is broken,.. unbelievable!

I am attaching the photo that shows the broken piece that he originally had posted. I have cropped/zoomed and circled the section in question.

Again, just trying to give people a heads up on the rare chance anyone might have been considering these.

Anyone using the word "perfect" when describing anything for sale is asking for trouble !

Years ago I bought a used headlight from a fellow. It was in "perfect" condition. Ha. The plastic housing had been broken and repaired with JB Weld. His explanation? "Yeah it was broken. I fixed it, so now it's in perfect condition".

Recently, right here on JaguarForums, a fellow described his for-sale 200K mile Jaguar as being in "perfect condition".

*Perfect* condition at 200k miles? Really?

Also problematic is the word "restored".....or even worse, "fully restored". But I'm beginning to ramble

Cheers

Better adjective is "everything works" instead of perfect.

We can have some fun with him... We can all ask him about the condition and when he replies saying "perfect" we can ask him to send us detailed pictures of the corners.

Haha there you go! ...get him excited by telling him that you are VERY interested, then request detailed pics. ....I guarantee you after I called him out on it, he will try and superglue the corner or something the that effect.
