Question What are these things in the glove box?

I have a 07 XK that came with a 2011 owners manual so there is no explanation on some of the things in the car.

The car has a Ipod connection in the armrest but I noticed these connection in the glove box. One looks like a Stereo input. Not sure what the other ones could be ?

Power switch on top, female USB on the bottom. They are Aux Inputs for the stereo.

So can I connect a Hard drive to the radio with the female USB?

The top box appears to be some sort of audio input, the bottom is an USB port. What function they serve is anybody's guess. They may be after market, my '07 XKR doesn't have them.

Cee Jay is mostly correct, it's for the AUX input, which is provided by the ACM (Audio Control Module), which wasn't standard equipment on the '07, but I added it to my car last fall, but haven't been to a dealer yet to have it activated.
That top button is an input select button, to choose between the iPod cable and the RCA/USB connectors.
Some folks put a memory stick full of tunes on the USB port.

^^^^ I'll buy that, seems logical.
I'm one of those guys that have over 8,000 songs on a USB stick, but it's a factory setup on my 2010, inside the armrest.

I added a 47" HD TV and surround stereo so I would not miss any sports events. I love it. Jaguar was clearly thinking ahead so many years ago.

Where can I get one of those KJ, I would love to use my memory stick instead of the disc player. It is only really happy with .wav files. It will play some mp3's but not if the disk is made on my computer.

I added a trunk-mounted projector and use an auxiliary power port to inflate a portable projector screen to recreate those spontaneous drive-in movie experiences when the Mrs. feels like losing her v-card again.

I've never used this setup...

Look for part number: C2P16491
You can find them online from Jaguar parts dealers, and they pop up on eBay occasionally.
There's at least one on there now: Jaguar XK8 07 Up Audio Connectivity Module Kit C2P16491 | eBay

Just make sure to get one that has all the cables, or you may not be able to connect it to the radio unit.
