What is it and why won't it stay on?
There's a panel that clips on to the inside of the back window of my 2010 coupe. Trouble is it won't stay on. Every time I open the trunk it pops out on one side and just hangs there. What's its purrpose and how can I get it to stay attached?
It's purpose is to hid your golf clubs! If you don't have any, you can always leave it at home.............
OR try pushing it into the top retaining sockets some more...........
hope this helps, Adrian

The clips are a regular fail.

Here's a link to a thread here on the forums that might help.....I hope.

Back pins go in first, then the front ones with the toggles unlatched, i.e. sticking out/down - then push the toggles flat to latch them. The toggles work by pulling on the screw core of the pin and thus compressing the rubber sleeve, making it spread out so it can't come back through the hole in the window frame. If you operate the toggles with the cover out of the car, you'll see how they work.
There are two possible problems:
1) Even when the toggles are unlatched, the rubber may be compressed, meaning they don't fit through the hole properly and thus don't really 'grab' when latched.
2) When the toggles are latched, they don't compress the rubber enough, so the pin just drops back out.
You can adjust the amount of compression by unlatching the toggle, holding the screw and sleeve firmly and spinning the toggle around to move it up & down the screw. Start with the head of the screw just touching the sleeve when unlatched, so the sleeve is uncompressed and will go all the way into the hole. If it drops out when latched, try tightening a bit to get more compression. It's a trial & error thing - I had the "too compressed" problem but was able to reach a compromise setting that worked.

Like the man said above.............the toggles can be adjusted. Turn 'em so the cover stays inplace. Been there, had the same problem you're having until I finally figured out that the front toggles can be adjusted by turning them and then installing the cover.
