Who sells the cheapest OEM Jaguar parts?

I need to replace the center shifter module. One dealer sells it for $948 which is 13% over list. Another charges $825 which is at list. Are there dealers that sell parts with good discounts? Where can you buy genuine parts for the lowest price?

You may find a dealer to discount anywhere from 5-20% off list. Have you tried searching the part number online? And I believe there is a dealer in North Carolina who offers and greater than 10% discount.

For suspension parts and other common wear parts I find Rock Auto and FCP Euro to have massive discounts more than 50% off.

Do you know which dealer gives the 20% discount on parts I would buy from them. For the suspension parts would those other places need the Jaguar part number to match it up and would it be oem or aftermarket?

Check with Forum sponsors who sell parts, as many give discounts to Forum members. Also check online Jaguar dealers. Their prices, tax and shipping vary, so last week's lowest price seller might not be today's lowest price seller. No aftermarket replacement exists for many Jaguar parts, so you will need the part number to make sure that you get exactly what you need. Check with salvage yards like Pacific Motors and see if a used part is available. You'll have to do the searching yourself. Make a list and compare delivered costs. There are no easy shortcuts.

RockAuto will let you look up the parts by application, but if you click the parts it finds, you can also see a cross reference for OEM numbers if you like that. They sell original equipment brands and aftermarket, and the quality can go from cheap brands like Uro (with oomlauts on the U) to brands like Lemfoerder and Denso. I'm a huge fan of RockAuto, and having placed maybe 100 orders in the last 5 years, the times there's been an issue is 2 times (control arm for a Pontiac and a overflow tank for a Dodge) and they immediately made it right at no expense to me.

I rebuilt my front suspension on my 2000 XKR with mostly RockAuto parts; mostly Moog, some Lemfoerder and just a few Jaguar branded bits. They got everything right.

For stuff like a shift module, check out http://www.car-part.com. That's a junkyard network. I bought a shifter assembly for my 98 XJR with cable, and it was unique for that versus an XJ8, and best prices on eBay were like 3 times what I ended up paying. I ended up paying $110 delivered and they warranteed it. I bought a 49k mile Supercharger out of a 2000 XKR for use in my XJR from them for $200 SHIPPED; and it was perfect (only bought because mine had wear in the center bearings and that's not really affordable to address).

You really have to use the part numbers and search the web (google), and even if you find a low price, check the shipping charges, some are sneaky and make up the low up front price by gouging you on shipping.

yea this is all you need to do. I have bought parts from the Jag dealer in Madison, NJ and Reno, NV before at almost half of what the local dealer wanted. Shipping was reasonable. Same part number, same warranty....

Double ditto. Plug everything into the Google machine and see what pops out. Heck, do it at the local dealers counter and ask them to match it.

The junkyard :) seriously, i would and do put on used oem part on my and other cars. Imo a good used oem part is way better than many of the crap suspension pieces aftermarket

Used Rock Auto and there are a couple of forum sponsors that had good deals. Not sure if they still are sponsors, but I would look at the banner ads on this site. I think one was jaguarparts.com and https://www.jagbits.com/.

jagbits 05-09-2019 02:18 PM

www.Jagbits.com offers all forum members a 10% off any order coupon code which is JAGFORUMS-10% type that in the coupon field on the checkout form!

Rock auto has very little for jaguars. And partsgeek has a lot but ive almost quit using them for many reoccurring issues that they suck on when comes to customer service

rfr66 05-09-2019 06:14 PM

I googled the part number C2p25936 and found the cheapest prices to be 12.2% off list. If anyone knows of a dealer that will discount further please let me know.

ralphwg 05-09-2019 07:25 PM

Somebody already suggested Reno Jaguar. Try them they are known for discounting.

The OP's in NY. Shipping from out West could hurt. As I said earlier in my post #4: "You'll have to do the searching yourself. Make a list and compare delivered costs. There are no easy shortcuts." :icon_deadhorse:
