Default Will XKR-S GT alloys fit a 2015 XKR Dynamic?

Ask as new the alloys with tyres are in excess of £10k/$12k and have been offered an unused set for less than a quarter of that.

A quick call to a dealer and they advised they were specific to the XKR-S GT and won't fit a normal XKR...but knowing dealers they'd always go by the book and can be wrong

Also on reading the spec for the GT the suspension was changed somewhat, so don't want to buy a pup that I'd not be able to resell if wrong.

Not as if I've even picked up my car yet so am slightly putting the ;cart before the horse'

Anyone know?

There were some suspension specific parts for the GT. I'd measure the backspacing on each and compare them. Dealers don't have details, just the parts per vehicle VIN if we are lucky. I have a set of '14 XJ wheels on my '07 XK, they look / fit fine and if anything the taller tires closed up the wheel well gap and gave me a more compliant ride.

Might be useful to post the model 'name' of the wheels, and what year XKR-S GT they come from.

To my knowledge it was such a small production run (80 cars) and they all came with the same wheels, unsure if there was a model designation/name

Fronts C2P25402 ET49
Rears C2P25402 ET 52

Same offset as the XKR-S

Have I just answered my own question??

They won't fit your 2015, but they will fit my 2010 perfectly. You should send that deal to me! ;-)

Happy Friday Night,

Dave

I take this as an American attempt at laconic humour?

I'll get them then....keep practicing

The GT has a load of F-Type suspension parts, and the Brembo ceramic brakes. So they might have required special wheels to give the correct clearances. But. as you say, the offsets are standard - worth a punt.

Have put a £500 deposit on them and am getting for £2450, a so a quarter the price new.

Although will not be using the Cupra sport tyres as think they are rubbish in our damp/wet climate, and will be fitting Michy PS4 S's

If they don't fit am going to have a hard job selling hem on as only between 10-20 sold in the UK

I can't believe that they won't fit. Just consider that the GT calipers with the separate e-brake requires a larger clearance then the standard brake caliper or even the Alcon package. If the off sets are similar it shouldn't be a problem. Don't forget the pictures in the future.

Thanks for the pix. My favorite is the Vortex design. It was introduced on the European market 2008 4.2L XKR-S in a silver painted finish, and then reintroduced for the ROW with the 5.0L models in a different rear offset to fit the E-diff.

I have the Vortexes (Vortices?), but in a grey 'technical' finish. Unfortunately, narrow London streets and width restrictions mean they're not as pretty as this now:

Thanks 10

IM(not so H)O black alloys only look good on black or white cars, they look silly and too 'ricer' on any other colourways, (unless it's a custom paint job).

Today I've:

1) booked the car in for a full valet and ceramic seal inside/outside with wheels off and calipers sealed*
2) ordered a set of michellin pilot sport 4 S's (20% off this month)
3) sorted my insurance out £458
4) booked it in to have front/rear dash cam fitted with separate battery power
5) booked it in to have a tracker fitted
6) booked it in to have a stealth radar detector fitted (behind car grill) as it has a heated screen no real point having windscreen clutter

it was weird that 4-6 couldn't be done by one person as would have made more sense.

* single stage machine polish, 2 coats of a polymer wax hybrid on the paint, spray on wheel wax, rain repellent coating on the windscreen.
with igl coatings quartz plus ceramic coating with a 3 year warranty, — interior leather and upholstery anti bacterial protection-
— alloy wheel ceramic coating with wheels off, coated inside barrels and brake Caliper also coated
—semi permanent glass coating to all glass

NB: Will keep the Vulcan alloys (currently fitted) for my winter tyres

I'l post the above to 'what did I do to my 150' thread...and I've not even got the car!!!

Agree, if I ever get a set they will be stripped, then electro-polished, then clear-coated.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi MT,

Any "mounted" pics yet? I am anxious to see those on your XK.

Cheers,

Didn't get the car I wanted (XK Dynamic R) as the dealer experience was abysmal.

That was a black car and my quandary was that they would really only look good on a black or white car, so against my better judgement have opted for a white one, which I pick up 1st week of October.

Will post up pics ASAP after then
