Default X150 SmartKey Remote Top special sale (ended July 2017)

If you had entered the X150 Remote Top contest a few weeks ago and did not win, you should have received a Private Mail with a very special deal on purchasing the kit.

A few of you do not have forum Private Mail enabled, so contact me at whitexkr@comcast.net for details if you are interested and did not receive the notice.

If you did not enter the contest, but are now interested in the product, contact me...I can still offer a discount. Product information can be found here: NEW!! '06 -'15, XK / XKR (X150) Convertible Top Remote Control - TheJagWrangler

Thanks,
Steve

As an experienced user of Steve's remote top controller (with rear window controls). I say if you are considering the acquisition and installation of the controller(s); this is your chance to "steal" it. Installation is easy and it is a wonderful addition to any XK/XKR vert. You will wonder why you didn't install one earlier.

Mine arrives today, though I told Steve that the installation process will be kicked back a few days to avoid the "feels like" temps in Omaha of 105-115 degrees through Friday. Looking forward to dazzling my buddy Joe M. who has a 2014 XK convertible WITHOUT this amazing feature. He's competitive, so I'm sure it will lead to another sale for Steve ... which is a good thing.

I made a 'rainy day' project out of installing my remote top opener today. Outside of a somewhat stiff neck from being trapped in spaces never intended to house a man the size of an NFL guard, the installation is complete and I'm dazzled with the simplicity and versatility of the product itself. I only had one "blonde moment" during the install process, and Steve responded to my query within moments, further lending credence to the support he provides to his product(s).

In simplest terms, if you have a Jaguar XK/XKR/XKR-S convertible - buy this product.

I did the installation by myself in 2014, and if I can do it so can anyone who can read and follow directions. Here's the link to my post #153 with my comments and tips about doing the installation that were not covered in Steve's instructions at that time: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-109235/page8/

Steve did a great job engineering this kit, and his instructions were clear and thorough. It was the best mod I did on my XKR and it has performed flawlessly. It's what the factory forgot to include as standard equipment. I particularly like being able to raise all 4 windows with the top down and, together with my rear wind deflector, enjoy a relatively calm cabin at highway speeds.

I bought mine a few weeks ago, but then house guests arrived so finally got to do the install this weekend. Like Kurt, climbing in and out of the so called "rear seat" was probably the toughest part. I even rigged up a small fan inside the car to keep from drowning in sweat. I also had one dumb moment and Steve was quick to get me back on track.
Works great and I was never so happy to get the top down so I could finish putting everything back together without having my chin on my chest.
Thanks Steve

I just noticed an ad for this in the JCNA Jaguar Journal. If I had a 'vert I'd get one!

I am also working on an article for the JCNA Jaguar Journal about the X150 Remote Top/One Touch Top/Rear Window kit. Hopefully it will be in an issue later this year.

BTW, this product never would have happened without all the support from folks on this forum!!!

This includes the idea which was conceived during forum discussions originally in the X100 section, additional feature discussions in the X150 section, owners who were generous enough to lend their car to help with development, and Beta testers from the forum.

Then our admin Jim and the moderators here were great supporters all along. And all the testimonials here have been amazing!

Thank you all for helping to make this product successful!!

You have a good memory! I had forgotten that I had even posted about the article I was writing last summer.

Steve,

Because of these latest posts, I've added the sale end date in the title thread.
