XK 2011 message center: only clock?

Dear all,

My 2011 XK displays usually the analogue clock in the message center between speedo and rev meters. Is there any way to display other information, eg. digital speed or other, instead of the analogue clock?

I don’t need an analogue clock there during driving, as the time is displayed in the center console digitally, which is much more convenient anyway.

I find that silly also, there should be an option to at least have the Digital Speed there. Only change I see is when in Dynamic Mode you get the Gear Selection displayed. Oh, and Turn by Turn Navigation displays

Someone, smarter than me, needs to hack the software and give us some options there as well as other fun stuff.

You can get your digital speed in the center panel off of the computer by cycling through the computer control by pushing the button on the end of the turn signal/bright light control arm. Current speed is the 5th stop.

That isn't mentioned in the Owners Manuals until the 2012MY year so it may be a facelift thing.

Thanks for that, but as mentioned it must be a 2012 up thing, because I have tried and tried to no success ever since I have owned mine. I am happy to hear that they finally wised up and added what should have been common sense to do with such a large screen area.

Cheers,

Dave
