Does anybody know what benefits there are for us Yankees in joining the XK8/XKR Enthusiasts Club which is based in the UK? A membership costs 40 pounds UK annually (approximately $60). Their website is as follows: XK8/XKR ENTHUSIASTS CLUB (XKEC)

Any information would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I joined recently - not sure how much benefit it will be, but thought I'd give it a go. Their forum isn't as active as the XK section on here. They do seem to run quite a few events here in the UK, but that's not much use to anyone elsewhere.

Hey Ralph,
Are you coming tomorrow? I know Doug, George, and I will be there. George and I are having breakfast around 6:30 if you want to join us.

For any forum members in So Cal, tomorrow is the Queen's English Car Show at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, just off the 405 at the Burbank Bl., exit. Always a great turnout with wonderful cars.

I joined the XKEC last year. There are forums and they are very nice however I find these forums much more busy and the friendships closer (despite very few chances ever of meeting anyone as we dont have "meets" and are not a organization).

That being said they have alot of topics and alot of people across the pond. I got a neat package in the mail but never used anything for a discount of any kind

Based on not having any meets in the US, I do not think I will be rejoining.

Loth

They have a forum only membership for half the price which makes more sense for some overseas since you will not be taking advantage of the gatherings or other perks in the UK.

That being said, this forum still has more activity and useful content IMO.

Consider also your local branch of Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA).

Thanks guys. I think I will take a pass on the the UK club and forum. I have already joined the LA owners club and through them the JCNA. Although I have not been to any local events yet the LA club seems to have at least one event per month. here is the link to the website: Jaguar Owner's Club
